Decent

I liked the subtle music and the animation style, they added a nice feeling to the movie, like some classic short cartoon.
The only problem was that this one was too short, it was finished before I knew it, and just when I was really enjoying it.

But good job anyway :)

Thanks

I just wanted to let you know how much I admire the art and animation in this compilation movie. Some of it was breathtakingly beautiful and some of it was stylishly sketched.

Any chance on you actually completing one of your projects now? I'd love to see a final work of your hand.

Thanks!

I might start somethiung new big sometime soon, maybe i'll force myself to finnish it. Only time will tell :)

Omfg

Seriously, I'm at a loss for words at how original and well-executed this Flash is.

It's certainly an extremely entertaining movie and for that, I thank you!

TV worthy

Seriously, you have no idea how great this is.
The animation, the colouring, the shading, everything is just perfect!

It would raise no eyebrows having something like this on prime-time television, as it rivals (if not exceeds) the likes of animation which is already on television.
Do you animate for a living, by chance?

Very sleek animation and nice art

It was nice eye-candy, I adored the art and how sleek all the characters were animated, and I loved the choices in [soothing] colours.

The voices were well done and there were some funny bits in it, but the one thing that did kind of lower my enthusiasm was that I didn't really get what the plot was. It could just be my own fault, but overall, this movie was pretty good, hence the high scores I gave it in this review and as a vote.

Ranoka responds:

Glad you noticed the colours I chose, I put special consideration into that. Thanks for the kind words on the art and animation. Sleek :D
Sorry, there wasn't really a lot of plot, I was just introducing a few of the main characters. I'm spending more time on the script for the second one so hopefully you won't feel so lost.

Hilarious!

Short movie, short review:
All I have to say about this Flash is that I enjoyed the art style and I had a good laugh!
Thanks :)

Pretty unclear

There was nothing wrong with the presentation of the movie (the graphics and animation), but the lack of a clear plot (even after reading the Author's comments) makes one think: "What is going on here??".

I think that if / when you make part two to this, you should spend as much time thinking the story through - and how to translate the story to the audience properly - as you spent on animating this movie, because that is the movie's strongest point.

Good luck.

it seems everyone has a problem with the story mate :( if i make a next realese then ill be sure to make it better, probaly with proper speech :)

Top-notch movie

You can tell how much effort was put into making this Flash movie, and thankfully, the effort was well spent.

Sometimes authors make sprite-based movies to avoid having to draw the art themselves, as this is a department they are lacking in, but this certainly does not apply to you... I was blown away bu the sudden excellent art / animation during that scene inside the tree with Kirby and the baddie he had trapped! Very nice!

I'd also like to thank you for supplying me with a few good laughs tonight :) And feel obliged to make sequels ;)

Very nice

This is the first time I've watched an episode of "Burnt Face Man" and I enjoyed myself!
This was mainly due to the nice art combined with the humor [which was right up my alley] and the nice variation in [funny] voices between the characters in the movie!

Keep it up!

Sleek animation, but wait, where's the story?

My first thought while watching this was: "Wow, great animation!" (was all the drawing done in Flash? Because some parts looked like they had been drawn on paper first), but somewhere near the end of the fight in the first part of the movie, I realized something: Why is Pico fighting this guy with guns and swords?
Obviously, this is no longer the young Pico from Tom's movies/games (due to his height and the hentai part (loved that, great animation and art), but there is no prelude as to why he is fighting in the first place, meaning it might as well have been some other character instead of Pico.

This took away a few points from the movie for me, as it seemed that Pico was just being used as a "sales gimmick", sorry if that wasn't your intention.
